Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Klarity calendar management application (the "Service") operated by Klarity ("we," "our," or "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Description of Service

Klarity is a calendar management application designed for families. The Service allows you to:

  • Connect and manage calendars from Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Apple Calendar, and Notion
  • Extract events from images, PDFs, and CSV files using AI
  • Create, edit, and organize calendar events across connected services
  • View travel times, detect conflicts, and receive calendar insights
  • Use an AI assistant for natural language calendar management

2. Accounts

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to keep this information up to date.

3. Subscription Plans and Payment

Free Plan

The free plan includes limited functionality: up to 3 file uploads, basic event formatting, all calendar integrations, and conflict detection.

Free Trial

New users receive a 7-day free trial of all paid features. No credit card is required for the trial. When the trial expires, your account reverts to the free plan.

Paid Plan

The paid plan is available at $4.95 per month or $39.00 per year. Payment is processed by Stripe. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled. You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Settings page.

Refunds

If you are unsatisfied with the Service, contact us within 14 days of your initial payment for a full refund. After this period, refunds are provided at our discretion.

4. Calendar Service Connections

The Service integrates with third-party calendar providers (Google, Microsoft, Apple, Notion). By connecting a calendar service, you authorize us to access your calendar data as described in our Privacy Policy.

You may disconnect any calendar service at any time. We are not responsible for changes to third-party APIs, service interruptions, or data loss caused by third-party calendar providers.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or access the source code of the Service
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
  • Upload malicious files or content designed to exploit vulnerabilities
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Exceed reasonable usage limits or abuse AI features

6. Uploaded Content

You may upload images, PDFs, CSV files, and other documents to extract calendar events. You retain ownership of all content you upload. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process the content for the purpose of providing the Service. We do not claim ownership of your uploaded content and do not use it for any purpose other than providing the Service to you.

7. AI Features

The Service uses artificial intelligence to extract events from uploaded files, answer calendar questions, and provide scheduling assistance. AI-generated output may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and confirming all events before they are added to your calendar. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated content.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by Klarity and protected by intellectual property laws. Your use of the Service does not grant you ownership of any intellectual property rights in the Service.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY OF AI-GENERATED CONTENT, TRAVEL TIME CALCULATIONS, OR CONFLICT DETECTION.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KLARITY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, MISSED APPOINTMENTS, SCHEDULING ERRORS, OR LOSS OF REVENUE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Klarity and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

12. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Virginia.
